We can manage, configure, and sustain advanced network server systems to a minimum of 98 percent operational readiness rate.

This includes:

  • Domain controllers

  • File servers

  • Mail servers

  • Print servers

  • Various other specialized servers in support of your organization

  • Ensure that required network administration is performed to include monitoring event logs, performance logs, maintenance of network login accounts, mail accounts, information resource shares, and user permissions.

  • We stay informed of industry trends in server management and can implement value added server upgrades and applications.

  • Make optimal use of existing server resources to most efficiently perform all required server functions.

  • Oversee all server migration efforts to ensure seamless transitions.

  • Build fault tolerance into every server application to include a hardware disaster recovery plan for each server.

  • Oversee the network anti-virus effort for all servers ensuring that the latest files are installed.

  • Work with MIS and other departments to ensure current and future plans with respect to network server systems are inter-operable, accurate, valid, and meet the client's mission requirements.

  • Establish and maintain standard operating procedures and checklists for these functions

  • Provides trouble call coordination and technician support.

  • On a rotating basis, provides off duty technician support.

  • Status reports and project updates

  • Provide training and assistance to client's personnel for the overall performance and maintenance of their assigned servers

  • Develop and distribute assignments to Network Staff

  • Install and test server software upgrades

  • Provide trouble call coordination and technical support

  • Develop and implement disaster recovery procedures for all Network Servers

  • Coordinate all configuration changes and provide status

  • Provide Network Status Report that will include information on the Network’s system availability and health, security incidents/virus attacks, LAN/WAN bandwidth utilization (internal and external), configuration management changes, file space utilization, software and/or hardware errors and corrective action taken or recommended, and project updates

  • Windows 2000 Advanced Server

    Software Application Responsibilities

  • Keep up with the latest version releases of the software and any bug fixes or patches as appropriate.

  • Coordinating with the Operations Software Manager to ensure that there are enough valid licenses for the number of systems loaded

  • Submits purchase requests through appropriate personnel for procurement

  • Ensures that all data for software support is maintained in the Software Database
       - This includes POC’s for technical support and vendor information for ensuring that automatic updates (if purchased) are sent as required
